Our Week Bucked Like a Colt on New Grass

But we are putting our newest book on special next week…

It’s been a crazy couple of days; the electricity was off for 8 hours following a loud, sharp thunderstorm today; I’m still under the weather, and I overdid it yesterday and am all achy again. I have weeds in my garden up to my backside, literally, and I hope to get them out tomorrow; after all this rain, I suspect they’ll pull easily. I hope tomorrow is better. However, this week brought with it good things, too. The munchkins went to the historical museum with F&S and loved it.

Can we take this museum home with us?

We took our little introvert Violet to campmeeting; Fawn accompanied her to the kindergarten class where she was suddenly in a group of 20 or so kids playing, listening to stories, and doing crafts.  In her own words to me after,  “I was shy.”  She started dance class this week and had a wonderful time with 5 other newbies, taking their first steps in ballet.  Her week has been full of firsts. Peni learned to clap her hands today, and anytime anyone comes near, she starts clapping, hoping they clap back. It’s grand to watch kids grow. Ember is not taking to leash training.

I added another chapter to the new SW memoir. I was able to drive a car to do groceries since I am off pain meds and more stable. It does not mean the pain is gone. It’s lower than before, but still nagging.

The storm today tore the roofs off several houses/businesses, brought down trees everywhere, and brought  hail and 55-mph winds, lasting at least half an hour. The thunder scared the munchkins half to death.  There have been a couple of smaller ones since, but Dan and I walked around. There is no real damage here this time, minor stuff like flowerpots that have been tossed and tipped over, and small branches to clean up.  It could have been much worse. And the special that starts this week is our newest book, just published.

June 8-12, Monday through Friday only, my just-published new book, I Am Lost in the Air Conditioning: Overcoming Loneliness, is a free download on Amazon!

At this very moment in America, someone is going to bed in tears. Another person sits in a chair, staring blankly at a television screen or scrolling through social media, while their soul longs for genuine connection—a hug or a reassuring touch. Authentic, face-to-face relationships have become rare. Loneliness has reached epidemic proportions. Emotional disconnection, isolation, and alienation are pervasive, contributing to physiological illness, depression, anxiety, and despair. I have worked with many individuals who lacked someone to confide in and struggled to find meaningful relationships, leaving their lives at an impasse. I invite you to join me on a journey back to rational living, away from the artificial world many inhabit, and toward a renewed sense of humanity and well-being. This transformation will not occur overnight; it will unfold at your own pace and only if you are committed to making a change for your own benefit. As a Christian therapist, I have written this self-help book as a fifty-day devotional, drawing openly from Scripture and the wisdom of those who have endured significant challenges. I am confident that He can help you, and I believe you can help yourself as well. Prepare yourself for the journey ahead. The path may appear long and difficult, but ultimately, you will find a peaceful meadow filled with wildflowers and gentle breezes, friends, a place to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate. Most importantly, you will not be alone.

Here’s hoping the storms did no damage to you and yours, and that next week is good.  Thank you for reading my books and for sharing with me. I appreciate you. I look forward to your comments.
