We are supposed to have thunderbirds tonight, as in windy storms, but so far the sky appears pretty clear, and it is so hot. I would welcome a good, thundery, rainy storm to cool it off a bit. Earlier in the day, I had an MRI. It settled my mind once and for all; I am definitely being cremated. An MRI feels like a noisy coffin.
There have been fireworks shows going on somewhere for the last two days; after all, you don’t have a 250th birthday every day.
My canaries have hatched another group of chicks, and they are fussing up a storm; they’re almost ready for fledging.
I had wanted to do a special on my new book, just soft-launched this week, but the regs on when a KU book can be put on special have changed and require 30 days from listing until they are able to be put on special, so the first week of August there will be a special on the newest Social Work memoir.
