How will you celebrate July 4th, the 250th birthday of this country? I’m thinking of maybe a home cookout, and a bunch of us are heading out to fireworks. I am staying home and watching a Capitol 4th. I really don’t do large crowds well. And the little ones would not understand the crashing and banging. I’d love to hear your plans.

We’re going to have a heat wave next week with mid-90s temps and heat indices in the 100s. Not much gardening is going on; Dan’s getting the irrigation system up and running. I am planning on a bunch of writing.
Speaking of which. I completed the manuscript for the 4th and most likely last Social Work memoir this week and am now in the editing process; it does bring back memories to read the stories. These are the best ones yet. I hope to order the cover for a reveal this weekend. Other books in the pipeline include a wild Sci-fi, dystopian future book. It gives me nightmares to write, so a little bit of horror in there, too. I am also working on a three-book library cozy mystery. That will be followed by the Christmas book mystery for this year in the Beyond the Veil series. I expect that one to drop around mid-November.
