I am taking a general poll on this. It was dead and brown for so long and it’s raring up , turning bright green and growing like it’s life depended on it.
Out back, it’s up over my ankles and in the field higher than that. We have no intention of doing another hay cutting, though if this keeps up it looks like it might want to be, so we are busily getting ready for the next season; fall is wonderful but so short. The hay is brought in and the barn is being settled and closed up; the chickens house is cleaned out, fresh bedding and grain stockpiled. Storm windows are being out up and I’m bringing in the house plants and all the plants I don’t want to get frozen and finding places for them. I need to dig out my impatiens and potting them for the winter.
