My land, it’s hot out! It’s been 92’ or better here-real temp – with a heat index in triple digits.

First, I need to ask a favor: if you are accidentally signed up twice and have been receiving two copies of the newsletter each week, please let me know so I don’t keep sending you two of everything. I want you to get your copy, but more than one is just a bother in your mailbox, so please let me know.
And welcome to all our new subscribers! It’s going to be nice to get to know you. We get quite busy around here, but we pack all the news in one newsletter a week, and keep you informed of freebies, specials, and the news. There’s a freebie coming-specials are listed below.
And thank you so much to all who are keeping Mike, my brother, in your thoughts and prayers. He is right now in neck surgery; all his cervical bones are compressed, and he was paralyzed from his shoulders down; it came on suddenly, one day just feeling a little off, and over the next week he lost most control of his limbs. The surgery is taking 3 hours, and they hope he regains use of his limbs, and PT will help him regain mobility and things like being able to feed himself. It’s pretty scary. While he is under the knife, I’m catching up on notes to everyone and the newsletter.
The surprise baby chicks are out of the barn and with their mom; she ended up having 10!

July 20-26 It’s hot as blue blazes out there: let’s do a free Christmas book! Christmas Comes to the Tritowns is just the thing to cool off with. Something odd is going on in the Tritowns. As the lodge and the Ladies’ Auxiliary and the sheriffs all try to prepare for a normal Christmas, Christmas trees start showing up, all seemingly indexed to the places they are left. The Bark has new members, old friends show up for the holidays, and can’t we just have peace and quiet long enough to open packages? And for only 5 days, it’s a free Amazon download-always free on KU, but this gives anyone not a member a chance to read free too!

And remember, August 2-9, because I have to wait 30 days after something is published to run a special – Our brand new, latest book in the Social Work Memoirs will be on special for one week!
Why Would You Try to Make this Up? will be a 99-cent download- and always free on KU.
If you believe your work is unpredictable, I invite you to explore mine. This book continues my collection of concise, nearly true-to-life accounts, some deeply humorous and others tragic. Reality offers a fascination that fiction cannot match. The experience may transform your perspective. Available in KU.
That’s it for this week! Have a great day! Waiting on surgeons is harder than cleaning a stall in the barn…
