And I am thankful for you
The spring rains are getting a little more than wanted all at once. It’s going to have to be this way for a few more days; and we need it to recover from the drought of last summer. The flowers like it; the CBW loves puddles, but the animals are finding it boring to stay in the barn.

Did those affected by the Social Security Fairness Act finally receive their letters and have their situations corrected? I received my letters, and it was a great relief to no longer be penalized for having worked in different service professions. I was not warned when I entered public service that it would do this. Now it is adjusted and it will help.
We had a lovely time at our creative writing group at the library; the library had invited two special speakers from our local college to present on screenwriting and it was fascinating. Professors Tazewell and Tzou were good and almost have me convinced to try to write a screenplay; no, I said almost. I need to finish the next trilogy, the third SW book, the next Hidden America book, the anger devotional and the next cozy mystery series has to be started; it’s pretty way down on the list of to do’s. Still, it was interesting. And that brings me to a thank-you.
I am pleased and honored that after the soft launch of my newest Social Worker memories book, You Still Can’t Make this Up has shot to # 1 on Amazon under social work books and stayed there for three weeks. It’s in the top 100 in three other categories as well. That deserves a celebration, so I made it our special of the week. Here it is, my already bestseller, about to be more available for all those out there who haven’t been able to get it yet; KU readers have been downloading it like mad, so now all the rest of you will officially know it’s occurring. Get your copy!
April 6-10 Sunday Through Thursday; You Still Can’t Make This Up is free download on Amazon for just 5 days; you need to download your copy.
If you liked book one, you will love book two: true to life stories, odd characters, and survival in a not to be believed world of bureaucracy, poverty and families in crisis. With true stories, too crazy to make up, you won’t find anything more fascinating than real life. I reached back in my memory vault to put stories to the faces that still come to mind when I sit back and recall those days. Some of them are drop-dead funny, some are sad and some simply infuriate me as I remember them. I’ve met people from the privileged to the poor and most of their relatives. I changed names and other identifying information to protect those who deserve it. If you think your job is wild, wait till you step into mine; you really need this book. I can’t wait to read your comments and reviews; get your copy starting Sunday the 6th. Let me know what you think!
Have a grand weekend; and since it’s raining anyway, why not spend it reading? Blessings and peace.
