Valentine’s Day is almost here, and once again, we’re getting more snow. I have to admit, I don’t find snow blowing very romantic.
Last week, Tbear’s car was wrecked by a deer. The car was totaled, and I’m guessing the deer didn’t make it either. Tbear managed to drive the car home, but now he has to look for a new one. Even on a good day, car shopping isn’t much fun, especially on a Friday. He was pretty sad watching the junkyard guy haul it away. That car took him on a lot of great trips—Wisconsin, Vermont, Lake Erie. Tbear really enjoys traveling.

And as long as someone else pulls me up the hill, sledding is fun.
Dan is working hard on his next book; he is hoping not take three years this time! He says he’s getting the hang of outlining and setting up his books. I nod, smile, and keep writing. I’ve got three going at once: I hope to get the next trilogy out in March; I am releasing the next worship devotional this month, in time for Lent.
Ember is growing, well, like a puppy. She’s doubled in size and orneriness. I just remind myself that she will be useful someday.
One pom puppy is being picked up tomorrow. I hope to get the other one homed as well shortly.
The writing group was good tonight; 18 intrepid souls showed up to study inciting incidents and practice the craft. My co-associate, Rachel, is a grand presenter. Have you done any writing lately? You don’t have to be heading toward publication; journaling to remember the events of your life can be a relaxing way to keep your mind sharp.
Now, this week’s special, and you are going to love it! It’s a sci-fi romance this week, starting Sunday. There are so many ways to fall in love…

From February 8 to 15, you can download The Obligation of Being Oberllyn on Amazon for just 99 cents. This story is a great pick for Valentine’s Day and follows Catriona as she learns what it truly means to be part of the Oberllyn clan. She isn’t sure she’s ready for it. Can Kai, Noel, and Micah save the earth before the Day of the Dead? Does Catriona care for Gabriel enough to join the clan? Follow the Oberllyn family as they fight for their lives, their loved ones, their country, and the world, all while making time for romance and family ties.
Don’t forget to share this with your friends, and leave a comment to know you got it and you’re all fine, in spite of this weather. Happy almost Valentine’s day!
