Can Someone Make them Shut up?

Luckily, election day is next Tuesday and surely that will stop them?

I got to be Minnie Mouse for trick or treating where my mom works helping old people. They’re very nice and I have lots of candy in the freezer. Why it’s there, I don’t know.

In the meantime, the CBW, my grandson and me have been decorating the yard and getting away from the political ads. They are getting to the point of strident nonsense on both sides. And did you see the rioting going on in LA when their team WON the world series? Looting, rioting and destruction; for winning? We used to do tickertape parades, remember? Seems like everything is an excuse for bad behavior. Anyway, here is one display we completed;

The bells are up because Christmas is coming. The nativity comes out right after Thanksgiving.

In the meantime, let me tell you about the first two specials of November so you don’t miss out:

From November 6 to 10, my new parenting how-to book is a free download on Amazon. As a great-grandma, grandma, mother and professional social worker and parent educator, I saw a need for a simple, understandable and  sensible book about parenting your child in a stress-filled, worrisome world.  Our children are 1/3 the population and 100% of our future and they depend on us to help them grow roots strong enough to carry them through their futures.  Ideal as a gift for new parents or grandparents, the mysteries of everything from potty-training to obedience are explained, as well as sticky-wickets like when a kid really needs a cell-phone, according to real research and not the other kids.  You need this if you have kids; and your kids need you to have it.  Get your copy the week of the 6th and pay nothing! (And don’t forget to leave me a review! I appreciate them.)

Just go to: Say What? My Parents are Amateurs?

And from November 10 until the 17th- Tales for Christmas and Advent 1 will be a 99 cent download Amazon!  If you are a mom, you will enjoy this book, and so will your kids if you read it to them while sitting on a couch, cuddling close, drinking hot cocoa, nibbling on cookies.  If you’re a single person just escaping the hustle, set down comfy with a comforter, maybe a friendly cat, sip hot cider, eat gingerbread and spend some time this crazy season for yourself. There are enough stories for the 24 days of advent, or indulge them all at once. What do Christmas pickles, monsters  and spiders have to do with the nativity, anyway?  You will find it at

And now I need to go-I just completed canning a bunch of applesauce and apple butter and the whole house smells like cinnamon! May you have peace this week…and enjoy fall.
And it will be good this winter!
