Does your Weather Make You Think of Paint Ball Wars?

Ice balls, sleet and the Creepy Crud – and a new contest

And I just want to welcome and thank the 362 people who entered our last giveaway and signed up for the newsletter.  You ought to have gotten a welcome message in your mailbox-if you didn’t, check your spam filter and be sure to whitelist us so you won’t miss any other contest.

Sorry this note is a day late, but trying to write when you have gastroenteritis is an exercise on how fast you can get up and run to the toilet. Not pleasant, and unfortunately, the variety I have lasts up to 10 days and this is just day 2. I think I should buy stock in baby diaper cream because that’s what my bottom needs right now and since Dan is coming down with it as well, going to need a bunch. I hope you are all fine.

Ya gotta sleep it off, grandma..

Our CBW started all this illness last week. I hope to catch up a little work now, but will be heading for bed shortly. And outside my window it’s hailing these 3/8 inch ice balls and sleeting them to the sidewalks and yard. They can’t be swept off and things are slick out there. No, this being what it is, what do you bet one of the pregnant mom dogs goes into labor? That happened during the last ice storm a week ago. Of course, we weren’t ill then. Muddling out in the dark and wet storm is not my idea of a good time or conducive to recovery..

However, announcing that the Valentine boxes are ready, and that the new devotional for Lent will go to press as soon as I can finish the last look-over before I send it on. There are new specials this week and I believe you will like them. Here goes

For just 2 more days, February 3-10     Uncle James, A Servant of God, to Us  is a 99 cent special: to learn what the Bible really says about social justice, you need this little book of devotionals.

February 7-14    has the next 99 cent special

Piper’s Impasse

Piper’s future was direct and well thought out; graduate, do research, marry, have 2.5 kids, live happily ever after. Then she met Sebastian in Baxter State Park; Bigfoot is real, the military is after her and nothing is certain anymore.

Feb 9-13   Say What? My Parents are Amateurs?  Is our next free download on Amazon.

Parenting feel impossible? Get real-world wisdom from a pro who’s helped families thrive for 25+ years. The advice book every new (and not-so-new) parent needs to actually feel ready for the job.

And now I am heading for a hot shower, and I hope, a long winter’s nap. Oh, and did I mention that I am awarding one of our mystery book boxes to some one who comments this week? I am. Can’t wait to see who wins. I just love contests.
