Like Valentine’s day coming and catching the flu just before the weekend…
It’s love month! At least, my 2nd grade teacher made a big thing of Valentine’s Day. In retrospect, my suspicion is since she was engaged to the high school PE teacher, it may have seemed that way to her. As I have gone through the years, February has always seemed a little blah too me; winter is hanging on, it’s usually grey, cold, maybe still snowing, and we’re all getting cabin fever. Right in the middle of the month having a holiday based on love seemed like a good idea to someone, and there it is, brightening our day with flowers and chocolate. And now, I’m going to do the same thing; brightening your day, but without flowers and chocolate. Sometimes, all it takes is a big empty box:
This month, we’re publishing a devotional on dealing with grief and trauma.
