What do you think of the new look for the newsletter? We’ve simplified it, updated the style, removed some pages, and made it easier to use with clearer, less fussy, larger fonts. We’re really happy with how it turned out. It took a few hours, but I think it was worth it. I’d love to hear your thoughts/comments and suggestions. And please share it with your friends!
Meanwhile, our new puppy, Ember, is settling in well. She’s cute, seems smart, and everyone is welcoming her. Being a puppy, she is a little bit mouthy and still needs to be housebroken, but she seems to take that pretty well.
Right now, we’re under a winter storm watch, and they say we could get 6 to 10 inches of snow across the state. The last time that happened was during the blizzard of ’78. It’s not supposed to be a blizzard this time, but I’m planning to stay inside, except to take care of the pets, until the storm passes. I’ve got candles, kerosene lamps, extra water, and snacks ready just in case. The kids have the sleds ready, found their mittens and can’t wait to build snowmen
Also, our Tbear is heading to Vermont on Friday to meet his true love. I remember when people met and fell in love face-to-face instead of online. After talking to this young woman for two years, he’s finally ready to meet her in person, and he’s making the trip just before the snowstorm. (“Honey, you could not wait until spring?” “No, grandma, already got the time off at work and made reservations.”) Please keep him in your prayers—for safety, and maybe a little common sense too.
