Seven days later

We just returned from our week long hegira to Tennessee where the weather is hot, the snakes are too big and the people were wonderful. It was a good retreat at a lovely retreat center; Dan and I were honored to have been asked to speak and share skills with the people who came. We met many, many lovely folks from as far away as Canada, many from in the states, and ate great meals, visited, ate more great meals, walked, ate, prayed together and in general had a lovely time. Dan went canoeing and saw a copperhead. I stayed home and got another book written from my notes! We greatly missed our little CBW, who survived being away from us a week. Although we called her every night she simply did not understand the missing grandparents. She’s all better now.

And just a short note while unpacking, doing laundry, catching up bills, making lunch and hanging out laundry about our specials for this week:
From Monday August 12 to Friday August 16, Our latest book, just released, Poison People How a Christian Deals with Difficult People; will be a free download for my friends! What’s it about? We’ve all met them; people for whom the rules of society and kindness means nothing. They trample over others, they take up your time, resources and patience. There was a reason Christ called them snakes, whited sepulchers and hypocrites; and they have only gotten worse with the passage of centuries. Learn how to defend yourself and your family, your work and your ministry from the ones who are doing their best to suck out all the energy and leave you a hull. Written by a lay minister who is also an LISW-S with over 25 years’ experience dealing with hurting people, this book helps you sort who you can help and who will be a drain you can’t afford. From the Queen Bees to the Liars, the Imposters and the Con men, this book shows you simple ways to disentangle you from their clutches before they do you real harm. Get your download and start finding ways to cope! Just go to the address for your free book!
