It is stone cold out there with a wind chill factor below zero this morning! Going out to do the animals was an exercise in patience as we bundled up first our clothes, then two more layers of sweaters and coats. When you’re done, you’re warm but unable to walk normally.
Of course my grandpa would have said it’s not as cold as t could be, not being a three dog night. A one dog night is when you let your wife’s little house dog in to sleep on your feet. Two dog night is when the family watch dog comes in and sleeps in the middle but a three dog night, all the hunting dogs come in and are just everywhere to keep people warm.
Been busy this week with the Christmas projects, and shopping and now I have a head cold. Miserable things. If I take medicine they last a week, if I don’t they last seven days…at any rate, they’ll make me cranky for the next little bit and I best buy a few boxes of tissues at the store today.
Isn’t the President elect going through cabinet posts like gangbusters? In my memory, I don’t recall nay new president filling those positions quite so fast before. And world leaders are already visiting him. Lord a mercy, maybe someone is actually going to get something done that might trickle down and help some of us as well. He talks in superlatives a lot but perhaps he has a right if he is actually doing the things he said.
Hope you had a grand thanksgiving. Ours was great. All the grandkids and great grandkids, most of our kids were here and enjoyed the visiting and planning for Christmas that went on.

Something odd is going on in our beloved Tritowns. As the lodge and the Ladies’ Auxiliary and the sheriff’s all try to prepare for a normal Christmas, Christmas trees start showing up, all seemingly indexed to the places they are left. The Bark has new members, old friends show up for the holidays and can’t we just have peace and quiet long enough to open packages?
