To the 350 intrepid souls who were in our last sign-up event
Written Word Media runs giveaways and this time I joined in with them on their mystery giveaway. Now as for the local news, the well is still broken; no overflow but appears the aquifer is OK, just the artesian part is not tumbling out so we still have to haul water to the animals. Fawn’s car has somehow lost it’s brakes; trying to use them is sort of like stepping on an overripe plum. Ick. So Dan and Scot are under the car. And in the meantime, Ben’s porch floor was in process of us replacing it and the steps to the porch collapsed. We were renovating over there and signed a contract to have the electric heating replaced with a natural gas furnace and A/C, and since we had just replaced the side door, he thought the porch needed it next when the darn steps just fell off. Now after the car today, he cuts step rails out of 2 x 12 and eventually the place will be a dawdi house on the bottom and a regular house on the trop. Ben and Beni will be in the upper house, Tris in the bottom (and if he marries a certain young lady, her too). Life goes on, a bumpy ride, sure, but if it weren’t we’d be bored or dead, neither eventuality sounds appealing right now.
