Did you watch the debate? I found it interesting. Did you notice how neither candidate seemed able to answer the questions? I could have answered many of them just from my reading, but I’m not running for anything, thank the Good Lord for Common Sense. It’s enough hassle to simply run the farm, the publishing business, the household, watch the CBW, keep Dan in desserts-how he can eat them and never gain a pound is the most infuriating thing about cooking around here. Speaking of which, I am putting together another cookbook of old time recipes to be launched soon. AND I found out that I have been chosen as one of KDP’s All-stars for the month of August which is an honor. AND I am working on the next Hidden America legend book; you are going to love it. (Remember, last ones were about Bigfoot? Wait til you see which one I am presenting in this one.) AND I am setting up a new devotional about grief and strength. AND I had a new vella come out this week; a book of poetry called Poverty’s Perpetual Persistence AND I am running a special this month on my first cookbook (See below) AND haven’t we reached enough AND”s yet? I think so. Let’s move on.
The weatherman and the almanac say this drought is going to last a few more weeks, I do hope they are wrong. I had to harvest what hadn’t dried up and shut down the Eden garden already. We usually have things to harvest right up until front but not this year. I’ll be bringing in all my geraniums and the rest of my house plants not because of heat but because the ground is hot, dry and cracked. I’ve gotten three big bags of potting spoil and that ought to do it. The baby will enjoy doing that with me Sunday. She is at the stage where if it involves dirt and water, she’s there. Aunt Fawn has actually made her aprons to wear when she heads outside. Right now they are at the Pet store buying live food for Uncle Scott’s various lizard/snakes that require live food. The baby’s part in all this is to admire all the pets available, and our local store has plenty. She just got a new pet rabbit she named Daisy bunny.
