Or the spring weather?
It’s been a lovely week weatherwise: warm-up to the 70s some days, the crocuses are covering the yard at both houses, tulips are up 4 inches, the shooting stars are blooming pink and violet in the front yard next to the crocus in purple, lavender and yellow. It looks as if someone up there took a artist palate and just tossed drips of color everywhere. Did you catch a glimpse of the lunar eclipse? Such an odd shade of red, like venous blood. I can see why in the old days there were so many superstations about blood moons, from a giant heavenly dog eating it, to the moon being lonely and crying for help, to the apocalypse. The truth is much more prosaic than that and just a little bit boring compared to the imaginary reason.
In the meantime, Dan went in for a minor surgery, they had complications and he ended up staying overnight. Not my idea of a vacation with all those tubes and wires and such. He is supposed to be home today but he has to see one or two last doctors to sign out.
We still have a few quails to rehome, and the puppies are within two weeks of going to their new homes. I’ve been editing the newest trilogy and getting the next Hidden America book started, and prepping for publishing the newest Social Worker Memoirs book. Kitchen Memories, my latest book, comes next week.
The hydroponics are doing very well. I’ve been transplanting tomatoes and flowers into their growing pots, joining the herbs and asparagus. I hope the Eden Garden goes well.
