With Vella, readers access stories in short episodes, 600-5000 words long. The first 10 episodes are always free, and further episodes, which cost about a dime each, are bought with Tokens available in bundles from amazon. Readers can interact with authors through several features and unlock as many stories as they want. They are handy to have on your phone or other mobile device because you can pull them out at any time, read an episode and then proceed to the dentist’s chair or doctor appointment or out of the traffic jam-you never have to be without something to read.
