Is it May already?
With all the rain, weeds, new baby canaries, the kids’ new sandbox, fixing the RV, releasing a new book, and visiting friends who aren’t feeling well, I haven’t even noticed how quickly the days are passing. I also find myself needing a nap every afternoon now. My two little great-grandbabies join me for a 2:00 nap in my bed, snuggled under soft blankets while I tell them stories until we all drift off for an hour. After that, if it’s not raining, we head outside to play and work in the flowerbeds. The weeds are everywhere this year, and if I could find a use for them, I would. But cinch me tights, nettles, creeping Charlie, plantains, and dandelions aren’t what I want growing where I’d rather see primroses, columbines, and lemon lilies. At least the hostas are thriving. The barn kittens, the chicks in the barnyard, and everyone here are doing well, too.
And of course, my books are always waiting for attention. I completed the next in line, and it was just released. It will be on special the second week of May. I’m also working on another book in the Social Work Memoirs series, plus one about escaping loneliness. Those will be ready soon. I’m still developing the new library cozy mystery and the sci-fi series, too. In the meantime, I’ve set up some special offers just for you.
