I thought when I quit full time counseling, I’d given up having to harangue with the insurance companies who never seemed to be on the clients side. Lo and behold, now I have to argue for me, so I suppose the previous 12 years work got me ready for my own turn at stonewalling.
The puppies are doing well but having some difficulty with finding them good homes. Lots of folk want them but when I look a little into the situations, they’re either flippers, people trying to make 3 year old’s happy or folks who plan on keeping small poms outdoors. So the search goes on.
Dan is out doing the every five years dig out of the wetland creek. It gets full of silt and the plant life starts dying off. We want it to be a place for Herons, ducks, turtles and small creatures, not turn into a mosquito laden swamp, so every five years he rents a digger thing and sits in an air conditioned cab digging it out. We transfer the silt to the garden beds, the weeds and garbage to a compost heap and afterwards, smile at how much better it all looks, smells and grows.
