First, let’s enjoy a little humor: Two factory workers are talking. The woman says, “I can make the boss give me the day off.” The man replies, “And how would you do that?” The woman says, “Just wait and see.” She then hangs upside down from the ceiling. The boss comes in and says, “What are you doing?” The woman replies, “I’m a light bulb.” The boss then says, “You’ve been working so much that you’ve gone crazy. I think you need to take the day off.” The man starts to follow her and the boss says, “Where are you going?” The man says, “I’m going home, too. I can’t work in the dark.”
Our little alpaca herd is smaller by two; we found good homes for our two extra males, both Raphael, a herdsire and Eko, a male cria. The others are little upset about it, but things are settling. Our Siamese cats blessed (?) us with two litters of kittens; cute little guys. We’ve been busy harvesting our garden and moving our little dogs down to protect it. It’s a much larger space than they are used to having.
I completed one quilt top and took it to the quilting shop; I am almost through another when I ran out of fabric for binding and had to make a trip to the fabric place. Dan has gone back to college at 75-he is auditing a class. Our local university has a program for seniors in which you buy your books, pay a small fee and can sit in on a class. You don’t get a grade, but you keep your mind sharp. So far, he is enjoying it. I am looking forward to closing down my counseling office and staying home to concentrate on my writing, the farm and the great grand-daughter.
I hope all is well where you are; the summer is nearly done; shortly everything will be falling leaves and pumpkin spice flavored. Seems like I just got my winter wardrobe put away and now will be pulling out the sweaters. Take care-drop me a line if you have time. I love to hear from my readers.
